2nd Science Workshop of SoWMEX/TiMREX 1. Date: 20-22 October 2009 (Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday) 2 and half day presentation and half day for science team meeting 2. Venue: CWB 3rd floor Conference Hall, Taipei, Taiwan 3. Major theme and planned sessions: The Meiyu front and low-level jet, Structure and Dynamics of Mesoscale Convective Systems, Convection initiation and atmospheric boundary layer processes, precipitation processes and cloud microphysics, and QPE/QPF (data assimilation). We are expecting some preliminary results from the experiment will be presented. 4. Data issues will be discussed in Science team meeting and also possible special issue of publication *Organizing Committee: Ben Jou/NTU, Shui-Shang Chi/CWB, and Wen-Chau Lee/NCAR with executive Secretary Chia-Rong Chen/CWB
