The Taiwan Quantitative Precipitation Ensemble Forecast Experiment (TAPEX) provides 72-hour rainfall forecasts during typhoon warning periods.

In 2014, the average 24-hour typhoon track error was 83km and the threat score (TS) was 0.43 for the forecast of daily rainfall exceeding 130mm.
