第19屆環太平洋大學聯盟多重災害研討會



各位先進,您好:

國立臺灣大學氣候天氣災害研究中心將於今年10月1~3日臺北集思會議中心舉辦「第19屆環太平洋大學聯盟多重災害研討會」,目前論文摘要正熱烈投稿中,投稿截止日經過延長後將於8月2日結束。本屆大會主題「打造可持續和有韌性的未來:科學、技術與創新用於減少災害風險」,除了大氣、水文、地質等多類災害防救議題外,亦針對0403花蓮震災及日本能登半島震災進行交流。歡迎各界對災害防救有興趣的先進惠賜論文摘要或參加學生海報競賽。

Forging Sustainable and Resilient Futures: Science, Technology and Innovation for Disaster Risk Reduction


The symposium is organized and hosted by the Center for Weather Climate and Disaster Research of National Taiwan University in collaboration with the APRU Multi-Hazards Program. 

This year, the symposium will focus on topics including:

  1. Lessons learned from Earthquakes of Noto and Hualien
  2. Tectonic and geological multi-hazards
  3. Weather, climate, and hydrology multi-hazards
  4. Advanced science and technology regarding AI, big data, and GIS
  5. Early warning systems for multi-hazards
  6. Disaster impact analysis and risk assessment
  7. Risk communication and disaster risk reduction
  8. Disaster management and education
  9. Gender, diversity, and inclusion in disaster risk reduction

Call for Abstracts
 

We are accepting abstracts that will fall under the nine subtopics from now on till July 5 August 2, 2024. Please follow the guidelines:

  • The abstract body should be short (100–500 words), clear, concise, and written in English with correct spelling and good sentence structure.
  • Abstracts should be carefully compiled and thoroughly checked, in particular with regard to the list of authors, before submission in order to avoid last-minute changes.
  • If you want to attend Student Poster Competition, please make sure you are the first author, and check more details about the Competition below.
Submit Your Abstract or Proposal

Student Poster Competition
 

The Symposium will organize the Student Poster Competition for full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students from any university to participate. The requirements are:

  • The theme must fall under the nine subtopics of this year’s symposium.
  • The participant must be a current student or recent graduate from universities or graduate schools, and be the first author.
  • Upload the summary of the poster in English, without pictures and equations (plain text only) before July 15 August 2, 2024.
  • The poster should be 84×118.8cm (A0) in portrait orientation and must be written in English.
  • If the information provided is false, the organizers are entitled to disqualify the participant.
We offer the First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention awards with prize money:


 

Every participant will receive a Certificate of Participation.

To participate in the competition, select “Yes” for the “Student Presentation Competition” when submitting the abstract.
