The Earth Science Research Promotion Center (ESRPC), under the Department of Natural Sciences and Sustainable Development of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Taiwan, aims to encourage outstanding students in Earth science-related fields who are enrolled at universities and colleges in Taiwan to pursue research and actively participate in international conferences. The Program seeks to enhance students' research capabilities, increase the international visibility of outstanding young researchers, and encourage students to pursue international awards and recognition.
To achieve these goals, the ESRPC has established the Awards Program Encouraging Students in Taiwan to Participate in International Conferences and Achieve International Recognition in Earth Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Program").
The ESRPC is responsible for coordinating and administering this Program, with a particular focus on the AGU Annual Meeting (American Geophysical Union Annual Meeting).
The application period is from September 21 to November 11, 2026. Applications will be reviewed from November 12 to November 22, 2026.
The results will be announced in late November, and award recipients will be notified individually. Awards will be presented during Taiwan Night, an event hosted by the ESRPC at the AGU Annual Meeting in the same year.
